Simba SC Requests Report on the Dissolution of Kariakoo Derby: What You Need to Know

Simba SC Derby

The leadership of Simba SC has announced to the public that their match against Yanga SC, known as the "Kariakoo Derby "is still set to take place on June 15, 2025, as scheduled.

In a statement released on June 10, 2025, Simba SC informed its members, fans, and the public that match number 184 against Yanga SC is confirmed for June 15, 2025, as planned.

The announcement urged fans not to be misled by street rumors and advised those who purchased tickets for the match on March 8, 2025, to keep them for this upcoming game, while those who haven't bought tickets should prepare to purchase them after the league board's announcement.

Simba SC, who will be the visiting team in this match, has come up with a slogan saying: "Let's fill the Mkapa Stadium."

The statement further emphasized that it is well known that the 'NBC Premier League' consists of 16 teams and is not a league of just one team. According to the regulations, before the season starts, all 16 clubs participate in meetings to propose improvements to the rules and procedures to strengthen the league, so those with concerns should follow the proper channels.

Simba SC has requested the League Board and TFF to publicly release the investigation report regarding those involved in disrupting the league match on the evening of March 7, 2025, and that appropriate actions be taken against them by the relevant authorities.

They concluded by saying that the failure to release a report and the lack of action against those who continue to incite violence is akin to protecting the corruption in football, which undermines the achievements currently present in the football industry in the country.
