Melania Trump Threatens Hunter Biden with $1 Billion Lawsuit After Epstein Comments

Melania and Hunter

US First Lady Melania Trump is considering legal action against Hunter Biden for $1 billion following his unfounded assertion that she was introduced to President Donald Trump by the notorious Jeffrey Epstein.

‎Trump's attorney has insisted that Biden 'immediately retract the false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory remarks made about Mrs. Trump.'

‎The younger Biden echoed claims initially made by Michael Wolff, the author of Fire and Fury, who appeared on a Daily Beast podcast in late July, suggesting that both Epstein and the president were linked to a 'model agent' who facilitated the introduction between Trump and the first lady.

‎The Daily Beast published Wolff's allegations in an article and has since issued an apology for it.

‎On August 5, the 55-year-old son of former President Joe Biden made a subsequent appearance on Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan, where he reiterated the allegations.

‎'They were well acquainted, having spent a significant amount of time together,' Biden remarked regarding Donald Trump and Epstein. 'According to his biographer, Jeffrey Epstein was the one who introduced Melania, which is how the first lady and the president met.'

‎In a letter directed to Biden and his long-time attorney Abbe Lowell, the first lady's lawyer Alejandro Brito labeled Biden's statements as 'false, defamatory, and lewd.'

‎''Considering your extensive history of leveraging the names of others, including your own surname for personal gain, it is clear that you made these false and defamatory claims about Mrs. Trump to attract attention to yourself,' Brito stated in a letter first acquired by Fox News.

‎Dated August 6, the letter demanded that the younger Biden comply by August 7.

‎As of Wednesday evening, that particular episode of Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan was still available on YouTube.

‎''These false, disparaging, defamatory, and inflammatory remarks are highly sensational and have been widely circulated across various digital platforms,'' the first lady's attorney remarked.

‎Indeed, the Video has been re-released by numerous media platforms, journalists, and political analysts who boast millions of followers on social media, spreading the false and damaging claims contained within it to tens of millions globally,' he went on to say.

‎''As a result, you have inflicted significant financial and reputational damage on Mrs. Trump,'' Brito remarked.

‎The attorney urged Biden to 'promptly provide a complete and fair retraction of the Video along with any and all other false, defamatory, disparaging, misleading, and inflammatory remarks regarding Mrs. Trump in as prominent a manner as they were initially published.'

‎The former first son is also required to 'swiftly issue an apology for the false, defamatory, disparaging, misleading, and inflammatory remarks about Mrs. Trump,' Brito said.

‎In the letter, the lawyer cautioned that if Biden fails to comply with the first lady's requests, 'Mrs. Trump will have no choice but to assert her legal and equitable rights, all of which are explicitly reserved and not waived, including pursuing legal action for damages exceeding $1 Billion Dollars.'

‎'You are hereby notified,' Brito concluded.

‎Her East Wing spokesperson, Nick Clemens, added: 'First Lady Melania Trump's legal team is actively working to secure immediate retractions and apologies from those who have propagated malicious, defamatory falsehoods.'

‎'The accurate narrative of how the First Lady met President Trump is detailed in her best-selling book, "Melania,"' he said in a message to the Daily Mail.
