A prominent international midfielder from Nigeria, Precious Christopher, has expressed that his return to Yanga Princess feels like coming home, following his official introduction by the club yesterday in Dar es Salaam.
Through his social media page, Precious wrote: "Home!! Home!! Home!! Oh my brothers and sisters, I have listened and I have returned home, I am always a Mwananchi,"
The 22-year-old player previously played for Yanga Princess before signing with Simba Queens last season, where he inked a two-year contract and showcased impressive skills as a strong defensive midfielder with precise passing.
Last season, he scored three goals and provided one assist in the Tanzania Women’s Premier League (WPL).
Additionally, Precious also participated in the CAF Women’s Champions League with Rivers Angels from Nigeria before moving to Tanzania.
In addition to Precious, Yanga Princess has also introduced another new midfielder, Ritticia Nabossa from Uganda, who previously played for Fountain Gate Princess before joining Simba Queens.
Nabossa is among the key players for the Ugandan women’s national team (Crested Cranes) and has previously won the Women’s Community Shield while with Simba.
The signing of these two players is expected to enhance the competitive spirit within Yanga Princess as they head into the new season of the Women’s Premier League.
