The President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has officially inaugurated a new Bus Terminal and Business Market in the Chuini area, located in the Western A District of Unguja.
This launch has been described as part of the government's efforts to enhance business and transportation infrastructure, alongside uplifting the economy of the local populace at the grassroots level.
The new facility features a modern market equipped with excellent infrastructure for vendors selling a variety of goods, particularly vegetables, fruits, grains, and other daily necessities.
Additionally, the bus terminal constructed adjacent to the market is expected to facilitate easier travel for residents entering and leaving Chuini, as well as other areas within the Western A District and nearby regions.
According to local government leaders, the completion of this project will significantly help reduce congestion in urban areas and increase productivity for small and medium-sized traders. These leaders expressed their gratitude to President Mwinyi for his continued responsiveness to the needs of the citizens through actionable measures.
This project has been funded by the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar through a program aimed at enhancing social services, and it is anticipated to create new job opportunities, boost traders' incomes, and stimulate economic growth in the Urban West Region.
This inauguration reflects the government's genuine commitment to addressing the challenges faced by citizens through practical solutions and inclusive development.
