Tanzania has continued to shine in international beauty pageants after beauty queen Eva Godwin claimed the Miss Africa International 2026 crown at a competition held in Nigeria.
Eva was declared the winner in the early hours of November 2, 2026, a victory that was met with congratulations from the team coordinating her participation, including the Director of Miss Grand Tanzania, Nazimizye Adam Mdolo.
The achievement adds to the number of Tanzanian beauty queens performing well on international platforms this year, with other contestants securing various placements in different competitions.
Eva's journey to the victory began at the Miss Grand Tanzania 2026 pageant held on August 8, 2026, where Jihan Dimack took the national crown and later represented Tanzania at Miss Grand International 2026 in Thailand.
On the other hand, Rossie Uisso made it into the top 12 at Miss Global International, while Sharon Julius secured third place at Miss Elite World held in Egypt.
Eva Godwin, a first-year student at the Tanzania Institute of Accountancy (TIA), had previously won the Miss TIA 2026 crown before earning the opportunity to represent Tanzania at Miss Africa International.
The victory and placements achieved by these beauty queens have made Tanzania one of the countries to watch in international beauty pageants in 2026.
