President of the United Republic of Tanzania Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan will travel to France to attend and be the co-Chairman of the international conference on clean cooking energy that brings together the Heads of various countries in the world.
Minister of Foreign Affairs January Makamba today in Dar es Salaam, said President Samia will be in France for four days from May 12 to May 15 where Tanzania has been involved in the meeting due to the great efforts being made in Tanzania to push the agenda to enable all people to use clean cooking energy to protect their health and the environment.
The meeting has three goals, firstly to make this an international agenda and get more stakeholders, second is to take effective policy measures that can speed up the use of clean cooking energy, and third is the participants in developed countries and international financial institutions to make promises of money and aid , and countries to make promises to change policies and laws to speed up the use of clean cooking energy.
While in France, Dr. Samia is expected to hold talks with her host, French President Emmanuel Macron at the State House in Paris in developing the existing cooperation between the two countries.
