Is Ruben Amorim considering leaving Manchester United due to recent poor form?

Ruben Amorim has acknowledged the possibility of leaving his position as Manchester United manager, as the team's ongoing domestic difficulties echo the club's notorious relegation season.

Despite reaching the Europa League final, United's recent 2-0 loss to West Ham has left them languishing in 16th place in the Premier League, with 17 defeats in 36 league matches—matching the dismal performance of the 1973/74 season, the last time the club faced relegation.

Appointed in November on a two-and-a-half-year contract to succeed Erik ten Hag, Amorim has hinted that - "time at the club may be brief,  as the upcoming Europa League final against Tottenham is a distraction from more significant issues within the organization."

He emphasized the need for a cultural shift within the club and the team, saying that a "strong and courageous approach is essential for the summer ahead, as the current trajectory cannot continue."

Amorim also expressed uncertainty about the club's readiness for a Champions League return, indicating - "challenges they face are far more pressing than the final itself."
