Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa has said that progress in the education sector is the key to the success of any nation globally.
"That is why the leadership of President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has decided to invest in this sector to ensure that Tanzanian children receive quality education at all levels." he added
He made these remarks while addressing students and teachers at 'Lucas Malia Girls Secondary School ' in Ruangwa, Lindi region, during a ceremony to congratulate the sixth-form students who excelled in the national examinations held in 2025.
"Those of you who are present at school and those who will come, we always recognize that we have crucial areas to educate you; you will receive quality and solid education that will equip you with knowledge and skills to tackle various social and economic challenges."he added
The sixth-phase government has made curriculum improvements aimed at addressing the economic changes occurring globally, including the significant demand for youth employment.
"These changes have made our curriculum such that every student who completes their education will have the ability to utilize their environment and the knowledge they possess to transform it into an economy."
While reading the results for the sixth form for the year 2025, Deputy Head of School Amon Chalamila said that the school registered 188 students, all of whom took the exams, with 90 students achieving a first division, 95 obtaining a second division, three receiving a third division, and no student scoring a fourth or zero. "This success corresponds to a GPA of 2.34."
He concluded that education is the essential foundation for building a peaceful, healthy, and inclusive society within the nation, as well as for advancing science and technology. The government is adding more effort in enhancing education curriculum to ensure every youths in the country will have the ability to acquire education aligning with digital age .
