Stanbic Bank is Pledging Support for Tanzania's Vision 2050 Goals |
Stanbic Bank Tanzania has expressed its commitment to continue collaborating with the Government to achieve the National Development Vision 2050 by fostering economic prosperity through funding major strategic projects and providing loans with favorable terms, including interest rates below commercial levels.
This pledge was made today by the Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic Bank Tanzania, Mr. Manzi Rwegasira, in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania and Minister of Energy, Hon. Dr. Doto Biteko, during the closing ceremony of the Working Session for Chairpersons of Boards and Chief Executives of Public Institutions held in Arusha.
Mr. Rwegasira stated:
"As part of the Standard Bank Group, the largest bank in Africa, Stanbic Bank, which has been operating in the country for 30 years, has distinguished itself as a catalyst for national economic growth by providing innovative financial solutions, investment advice, and affordable loans that connect local opportunities with international capital."
During the event, Stanbic Bank received a certificate recognizing its role as a sponsor of the working session from Hon. Dr. Biteko.
Earlier, while speaking at the launch of the working session, the Director of Corporate and Investment Clients at Stanbic Bank, Ms. Ester Manase, noted that over the past five years, the bank has provided over one billion US dollars in affordable loans to finance strategic projects in the country.
"We are grateful that our capacity in this area is recognized both locally and internationally. Recently, we were awarded the title of 'Best Investment Bank in the Country' by the international magazine EuroMoney; this marks the fifth consecutive time we have received this honor," she explained.
