Why Clean Energy is a Game Changer for Health in Tanzania

Tanzania has made significant changes in the energy sector, including the extensive launch of cooking energy that enhances the lives of people through clean living.

‎The last decade we saw a high number of deaths caused by the use of polluting energy sources such as firewood and charcoal, leading to numerous health issues like heart disease, lung disease, and more during that period. However, following the introduction of the clean energy program by President Samia, the lives of citizens have transformed for the better, with a notable decrease in deaths among children and mothers.

‎"We want to ensure that every Tanzanian uses clean energy nationwide to create a clean environment for everyone, which will attract investment, business, and innovation," stated President Samia.

‎Companies like TANESCO and REA have significantly contributed to the campaign for clean energy distribution, attracting many users in rural areas.

‎Clean energy has become a pillar and a new chapter of clean and appealing living because it has managed to reduce deaths among the elderly, children, and mothers.

‎Polluting energy not only damages the appearance of the environment but also diminishes friendly living organisms in our surroundings, such as worms, which are essential food for poultry farming. The act of cutting down trees without replanting leads to desertification of the land and reduces the vital moisture needed as habitats for worms and other important insects living in the soil.

‎"We protect our environment by using clean energy to keep our surroundings friendly, scientific, technological, and healthy. By doing so, we will reduce unnecessary costs for everyone," said Samia.

‎The launch of a new development vision initiated by the president Dr . Samia has also been a catalyst in accelerating the development of clean energy and the entire energy sector.

‎"We cannot build a strong economy for our citizens and the nation as a whole if the people are plagued by diseases. That is why we are committed to increasing clean energy, transforming our environment to create a research-driven atmosphere that will support the expansion of our economy across all aspects of life." president Samia
