The NCBA Bank has officially launched its new business campaign known as "Numbers That Matter - Life is a Calculation," marking a renewed commitment to fostering development and positive impact within the Tanzanian community.
This campaign aims to illustrate how every decision—from financial choices to social actions—can lead to meaningful progress for individuals, businesses, and the nation as a whole.
Speaking at the launch event in Dar es Salaam, Acting CEO of NCBA Bank, Alex Mziray, stated that the campaign reflects the bank's intention to go beyond traditional financial services.
"For NCBA, we want numbers to tell the story of family, business, and national development. 'Life is a Calculation' is not just about transactions; it is a measure of the real impact on people's lives," Mziray expressed.
Through this campaign, NCBA has showcased its contribution to the growth of vital sectors including fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), transportation and communication, oil and gas, as well as manufacturing. Its targeted financial services have empowered clients to expand their businesses, increase sales, and build competitiveness.
"When our clients grow, the entire sector grows. That is the power of 'meaningful numbers,'" Mziray added.
In the public sector, business, and tourism, the bank has been a leader in strategies that build resilience while minimizing environmental impact. Through this sustainable development agenda, NCBA has pledged to plant over 10,000 trees in Tanzania by 2025. Already, 5,000 trees have been planted along the Mpiji River in Bunju B, as part of efforts to combat soil erosion and restore water quality.
The bank is also continuing to invest in people and communities through the NCBA Golf Tournament, which encourages emerging players and women while serving as a platform for business leaders and change ambassadors to connect.
"Our role is to open doors—whether in business, sports, or environmental conservation. Through these meetings, we affirm that growth is inclusive," Mziray concluded.
NCBA has confirmed its financial strength after achieving a remarkable 24% increase in pre-tax profit for the year 2024, reaching Sh 16.1 billion compared to Sh 13.0 billion in 2023.
This growth is attributed to customer trust and innovative products such as the NCBA Now App and asset loan services.
"Our brand promise is simple - Go For It. Through this campaign, we are demonstrating to Tanzanians that every number, every step, and every decision is part of building the tomorrow we all desire." he added.
