The presidential candidate for the United Republic of Tanzania representing the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has continued her campaign today in Geita Region, where she is expected to hold major public meetings in the areas of Masumbwe, Runzewe, and Bukombe.
This visit is a continuation of her campaign in the Lake Zone, where thousands of citizens have come out to listen to and support her due to the implementation of significant development projects under the sixth-phase government.
In her speech, Dr. Samia urged Tanzanians to maintain peace, unity, and cooperation, emphasizing that these are the fundamental pillars of national success.
"True development arises from the collaboration of both women and men, as they are equally empowered to think, plan, and act. By working together, we will build a strong nation founded on respect and peace," Dr. Samia stated.
Additionally, she promised to continue advancing major development projects in the sectors of agriculture, health, education, livestock, infrastructure, and mining, stating that the CCM government has laid a solid foundation to uplift the economy of the people, especially in rural areas.
Regarding preparations for the general election, Dr. Samia called on citizens to come out in large numbers to vote on October 29, stressing that the process should be conducted peacefully and calmly without unnecessary chaos or congestion.
"I urge Tanzanians to come out in large numbers to vote on October 29. After voting, return home and rest peacefully while awaiting the results, as our country is safe and our army is strong. There is no reason for fear or disorder," Dr. Samia emphasized.
On their part, CCM leaders in Geita have stated that all preparations for these meetings are complete, while calling on citizens to come out in large numbers to listen to their candidate and to continue the campaign in peace, love, and unity.
