The star of Bongo Fleva, Naseeb Abdul ‘Diamond Platnumz’, has opened up about the immense respect he holds for fellow artist Ali Kiba, despite the past differences that have arisen between them in the music industry.
Diamond stated that he has respected Ali Kiba since the early days of his music career due to the talent and courage he has demonstrated in maintaining his position in the industry for such a long time.
“Let me tell you the truth, I have no issues with him since I started. I have always wanted to collaborate with Ali Kiba. I respect him greatly for how he has managed to stay at the top until today. Many people think it’s a small thing, but ‘maintaining status’ is incredibly challenging,” Diamond expressed.
He elaborated that the misunderstanding between them stemmed from a mix-up regarding a music project they were planning to do together.
“We met at the studio with KGT, who is his producer. I told him we should do a song together, and even when I showed him Lala Salama, I gave him the chance to add his verse. But perhaps he wasn’t ready, and he decided to do a ‘hard lip’,” Diamond explained.
He added that he never viewed those differences as a personal feud but rather as a normal occurrence in their work.
The two artists have long been associated with musical rivalry, but Diamond’s statement has sparked new hope among fans who wish to see them collaborate one day.
