NMB's Business Initiative showcases 28 entrepreneurs as they navigate opportunities in China. |
The NMB Bank has sponsored a business trip for 28 entrepreneurs, aimed at providing them with firsthand experience of the Chinese market and showcasing international business opportunities.
This trip is part of the bank's efforts to enhance its clients' competitiveness in the global market and assist them in acquiring essential knowledge about the supply chain, product sourcing strategies, and fostering collaboration with Chinese investors.
To ensure effective outcomes, the delegation members will visit various locations including factories, trade centers, as well as government and private sector institutions, with the goal of learning, exchanging experiences, and identifying opportunities for collaboration and development.
Speaking at a farewell event for the entrepreneurs held on Monday in Dar es Salaam, NMB Bank's Chief Officer for Personal and Business Clients, Mr. Filbert Mponzi, said that this nine-day trip, which is set to commence today, will also include participation in the 138th Canton International Trade Fair, one of the largest and most attractive exhibitions in the world.
“This trip presents a unique opportunity for our entrepreneurs to gain new insights, open doors to international markets, and learn the best and most modern business operation techniques. This knowledge will not only help them grow their individual businesses but also contribute significantly to the nation's economic development,” Mr. Mponzi emphasized.
“This marks the fifth time since 2019 that NMB Bank has organized and successfully executed an international training trip for its clients. This year's delegation is the largest ever sponsored by our bank, which gives us high hopes for achieving positive results that will demonstrate the value of this investment.” he added.
Mr. Mponzi elaborated that this year's group includes 12 representatives from the agricultural value chain due to the sector's importance in the national economy, while 16 others come from various sectors.
Some selected entrepreneurs participating in this year's tour have expressed that this journey not only provides them with the opportunity to acquire internationally recognized quality products but also equips them with essential knowledge to enhance innovation, improve business operational systems, and gain a deeper understanding of global market needs and trends..

Ms. Delfina Leon from Barefoot International mentioned that she looks forward to learning more about product quality standards, bulk ordering procedures, and long-term collaboration opportunities with Chinese companies.
Also , Mr. Award Assah Mpandilah, who participated in the first tour in 2019, shared how it transformed the direction of his business and life."I returned with a completely new business perspective.
