Elizabeth Makune has been announced as the winner of Miss Universe Tanzania 2026 after emerging victorious in the pageant final held at Haddy Pro studios, Mbezi Beach Jogoo, Dar es Salaam, in the early hours of September 21, 2026.
Makune, who represented Mwanza Region, won a prize of TSh 20 million along with the Miss Universe Tanzania 2026 crown.
In third place, Sandra Giovina from Arusha was announced as the third-place winner and received TSh 10 million.
Melinda Enok took fourth place. In addition to a TSh 5 million prize, Enok will have the opportunity to represent Tanzania at the Miss Humanity pageant, expected to be held in Hong Kong.
Fifth place went to Mariam Cosmas from Mwanza, who received TSh 5 million. Cosmas will also represent Tanzania at the Miss OURA pageant.
In other awards presented at the final, Merikai Wavi was announced as Miss Supranational Tanzania, receiving TSh 10 million.
The final brought together contestants from various parts of Tanzania, with competitors battling through different stages before the winners were announced.
Elizabeth Makune’s victory places her in position to represent Tanzania on the Miss Universe stage, while the other winners will take on roles representing the country in various international beauty pageants.
