England and Spain have continued to show their quality in the UEFA Nations League after securing victories over Czechia and Croatia respectively.
England emerged with a 2-0 win over Czechia, with Anthony Gordon and captain Harry Kane among the players who delivered that result.
Gordon opened the scoring in the 47th minute, before Kane added a second in the 69th to give England a 2-0 victory.
That win continued to highlight Kane’s strong form, as, according to the cited statistics, he has now scored eight goals in his last seven matches.
Gordon has also continued to impress after scoring in two consecutive matches for the England national team.
In that game, Trent Alexander-Arnold returned to the starting XI and provided the assist that led to Gordon’s goal.
For Spain, Lamine Yamal was the star of the match after being directly involved in three goals as the team thrashed Croatia 4-1.
Yamal opened the scoring in the second minute, before Marc Pubill added a second in the 31st. Croatia pulled one back through Dion Drena Beljo in the 28th minute.
In the second half, Yamal scored his second in the 63rd minute to complete his brace, before Nico Williams scored a fourth in the 89th minute to seal Spain’s win.
Aside from his two goals, Yamal also provided an assist for Pubill’s goal, making him directly involved in three of Spain’s goals. According to the cited statistics, Yamal has now reached 18 goal contributions (G/A) in his last eight matches, while remaining one of the most prominent players in the Spain squad.
