TV star and businesswoman Kim Kardashian has opened up about the period she spent without a romantic relationship after her marriage to musician Kanye West ended.
Kim said that time was important to her because it gave her the chance to focus more on raising her children, her work, and her business projects.
According to Kim, although she had been in a relationship with comedian Pete Davidson after separating from Kanye, she largely spent about five years without a lasting romantic relationship.
Kim said she did not feel pressure to rush into another relationship, explaining that she needed time to heal and work on herself.
“I felt good being single. I was able to focus on my children and the projects I wanted to be involved in,” Kim said in a recent interview.
She also said she did not feel lonely or rushed to find someone else, believing she first needed time to rebuild herself before opening her heart again.
Kim and Kanye West married in 2014 and have four children. Kim filed for divorce in 2021, and their marriage was legally finalized in 2022.
After their split, Kim began a relationship with Pete Davidson that lasted about nine months before the two broke up in 2022.
Now, Kim has said she values her life, her children, and her work more, and she appears to be in a different phase of her romantic life.
