The presidential candidate for the United Republic of Tanzania from the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has promised that if elected to lead Tanzania in the general elections on October 29, 2025, she will focus more on providing subsidies for fertilizers, inputs, and vaccines for farmers and livestock keepers in Tanzania.

Dr. Samia made this statement today, Friday, September 12, 2025, in front of the people of Ipuli in Tabora Region while concluding her campaign meetings in the area. She also emphasized the need to continue improving markets, building new markets, and constructing watering points for livestock keepers in Tabora Region.

Additionally, Dr. Samia has pledged that if elected, she will address the water challenges and issues present in the region, stating that her goal is to ensure that the region and Tanzania as a whole have reliable water access for every Tanzanian, no matter where they are.

"I know that in the Sikonge District we have reached 67 percent, but there are still challenges. However, many projects are ongoing, and once completed, we expect Tabora Region to have sufficient water, ensuring that every resident has enough water. The Victoria Lake water project and the 28 Towns water project will alleviate the water crisis in Tabora Region," said Dr. Samia.

Furthermore, Dr. Samia has called on the youth of the region to prepare to take advantage of job opportunities arising from the construction of major national projects that have taken place in Tabora, including the construction of a crude oil pipeline from Hoima in Uganda to Chongoleani in Tanga Region, noting that these projects have created many jobs during their construction.

She added that her leadership will continue to create a favorable environment that will be a catalyst for development and job creation for the youth, and the environment will also be improved to attract international investors to the country.
