Agriculture and livestock expert, Mr. Erick, said that his income has increased after incorporating AI into his farming and livestock practices. Mr. Erick is a farmer and cattle breeder in Mwanza region. Previously, he manually milked his cows, producing a modest 20 liters from his two hundred cows. However, he now utilizes AI for milking and claims to produce over one hundred liters of milk daily.
"I thank God that from those one hundred liters, I earn $110 each day whenever I take them to the market. Monthly, I make over $3000," Erick said.
"For us farmers, AI has brought significant benefits, allowing us to increase our daily income. I believe the challenge will arise later for those relying on the digital economy, but for us farmers, we are enjoying this technology because it has greatly boosted our income," he added.
As a father of three children, I am pleased with my good income, which enables me to support my children without difficulty, allowing me to pay for their needs without hassle.
There have been discussions online about AI replacing human jobs. In response, I can say this: AI is indeed replacing human jobs, especially those depending on the digital economy will be significantly affected. However, in the agriculture and livestock sectors, these industries will benefit from AI by one hundred percent.
"I remember last year I used AI in my rice farming, and I saw my yields increase from 60% to 90%. This technology is enhancing our production and crop yields significantly," he said.
"Technology exists to simplify human tasks; we shouldn't blame it because it is improving our lives. However, laws and privacy are crucial in safeguarding the foundations and advancements of technology for humanity. These laws will guide us in protecting human rights and jobs against AI," he said gently.
