As the 'Community Shield' match approaches between Yanga SC, the champions of the NBC Premier League, and Simba SC, the titleholders of the CRDB Federation Cup 2025/26, coaches from both teams are confident about claiming the trophy.
Yanga is set to take the field at the New Amaan Complex on August 12, 2026, marking the grand opening of the NBC Premier League for the 2026/27 season.
Yanga SC's head coach, Manqoba Mngqithi, expressed that even though the team hasn't had ample preparation for the new season, he believes they possess the quality needed to triumph over Simba.
"Fans can expect an exciting game as I have faith in the skills of our players and the training we've undergone. What we need most is a positive outcome and to win the 'Community Shield'.
"With 25 years of coaching experience, I've never been troubled by the pressure of matches like this; I know how to handle the stress. The focus is on playing well and achieving good results," Mngqithi said.
