A 29-year-old young man explained how he raises worms as chicken feed.

A 29 year old farmer in Mwanza

KijAna, 29, said that worms have helped him greatly in increasing chicken reproduction quickly, just like modern chicken farming methods.

"I have been raising chickens for over ten years. After many trials, I discovered that worms greatly help chicken reproduction, allowing the chickens to lay many more eggs than usual," he said.

"I have over 10,000 chickens, but every day I send 500 eggs to the market, which earns me about $100 a day, and I earn about $2,800 a month. Chicken farming requires scientific knowledge, needs, and regular testing to achieve good yields. Chicken farming has become my main business," he added.

He mentioned that he has a small pond that he uses to raise worms for his chickens.

He said that after completing his studies in animal husbandry and agriculture, his biggest dream was to raise chickens, and he spent a lot of time experimenting to determine which foods are best for raising chickens so they would reproduce more? In one of his experiments, he discovered that worms help chickens reproduce much more than other common foods like corn, millet, rice, and others.

"I started with only four chickens, two females and two males, but today I have more than 10,000 chickens. My natural method of raising worms as chicken feed has been a major pillar in chicken reproduction," he said.

"I have been using this method for a long time, and my chickens have grown much faster, just like with modern methods. Fortunately, this natural method produces chicks that are healthy and of high quality," he added.

Paul, a close friend of mine, was impressed by my natural method after spending a day in my coop, as he was drawn to the good health and beautiful appearance of my chickens. So far, he has over 150 chickens that he quickly acquired using my natural method.

"Business is built step by step; it requires patience, training, and collaboration with people. For a long time, I woke up at ten o'clock in the night to feed my chickens, so everything requires high-level research and training to survive in a sustainable and competitive economy", he said
