Abdul Omary Nondo, the Chairperson of the 'National Youth Wing of ACT-Wazalendo' has officially announced his intention to run for the Kigoma Urban parliamentary seat in the upcoming 2025 general elections.
After collecting his nomination forms from the party's Kigoma Urban Secretary, Iddi Adam Sumvya, Nondo expressed that his decision is grounded in the constitutional provisions of the United Republic of Tanzania and ACT-Wazalendo.
He reflected on his previous attempt to secure the same position in 2020, where he participated in the primaries but was ultimately unsuccessful, with the party's then-leader, Zitto Kabwe, being selected as the candidate.
Despite facing challenges, including alleged electoral interference, Nondo remains resolute and believes he possesses the capability and understanding necessary to address the issues facing the residents of Kigoma Urban.
He emphasized that if he is not nominated, he will continue to support the chosen candidate to ensure ACT-Wazalendo's victory and the advancement of development projects in the area.
Nondo concluded by urging the citizens and party members to support him in this new endeavor, reaffirming his commitment to advocating for the voices of Kigoma Urban residents in Parliament.
